 In the windy January of 1942, the Norwegian motor tanker Nyholt set sail from Reykjavík, Iceland, to the bustling harbor of New York.  Armed with nothing but ballast, Laden sailed through the Atlantic, unaware of the impending danger lurking beneath the waves.  The sea, normally a fairly vast battlefield for freedom, suddenly emerged from the depths of the German submarine U-87, like a silent predator, targeting the unsuspecting Nyholt, which broke the calm, throttling the ship.https://fliki.ai/?via=riaz-hussain   The tremors started.  Amidst the chaos, Captain ALP Anderson ordered his 41-man crew to abandon ship and the lifeboats floated into the turbulent waters, every soul clinging to the thin thread of survival.  As Nyholt sinks, the team is faced with the harsh reality of the open sea.  Among them were two 17-year-old vintage British mess boys, friends and neighbors with dreams of life lost at sea.  With Nyholt now a mere memory beneath the waves, the survivors clung to life in the unforgiving North Atlantic but hope loomed on the horizon in the form of HMCS St Clair.  This Canadian ship, a symbol of rescue, rescued weary sailors from the clutches of the relentless sea.  Ten days later, on January 27, 1942, the survivors set foot on dry land in Halifax, Canada.  https://rb.gy/91xabo Nyholt's echo echoes in the hearts of those who braved the waves, lost at sea yet determined within the unwavering bravery that defines their survival Nyholt's story of adventure, tragedy and triumph, Sea Record has been imprinted on a large canvas, a testament to the indomitable  spirit of those who navigated the unpredictable seas.
